We are an independent incorporated association of the proud descendants of the "MacThomas Clan"
family at large. We recognize the identified "MacThomas Clan" as begining in the 16th century in the area of Glenshee,
Scotland and now linked to chief Andrew MacThomas of Finegand. However, we also recognize that many of this original group's
ancestors migrated to other areas and found affiliation and protection with Clans of other names. Further, we recognize that
many clan memebers left Glenshee when the clan became "broken". They took on various associated clan names and migrated
elsewhere. Our North American association is proud of our Scottish roots, our MacThomas and associated sept names, and our
North American heritage. We want to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions of our ancestors to development of this continent
and the principles upon which it was founded.
The "Chattan" cat emerging from the original MacThomas cap
badge signifies our early history and ties to our ancestral home of Scotland. The insertion of the Canadian Maple Leaf and
the American Star Spangled Banner signifies our North America focus and our future. MacThomas North America, Inc. logo was designed by David Hedges. MacThomas North America is incorporated as a non-profit
association in the State of Indiana. |

OUR PURPOSETo promote and preserve the customs, traditions,
and heritage of our Scottish ancestors. To provide service, through
a variety of means, to North American Celtic organizations with diverse yet similar interests To establish a repository for research of our ancestral migrations to North America. To promote, honor, and celebrate the accomplishments of our ancestors and their decendants, and especially our
their future generations.
